The report caused an uproar about the state of prostitution in Iceland. Because of this Margrét Steinarsdóttir, lawyer for the International House, intends to send a protest to the American Embassy because of the report that they released about prostitution in Iceland. Margrét says „I am very displeased about how I was taken out of context, and that the report should be pointed back to me, even though I was not named, I am the only lawyer working for the International House". Furthermore, she says the employees of the International House wish to decide what information should be released to press, so that the people coming to them can trust them.
